Your place is so inviting and cozy. We loved everything about it ! We especially loved the sun room and the fireplace in the sitting room. The view was amazing ! It was so peaceful and quiet. We loved listening to the birds. Thank you so much for sharing this special home with us.

We had a wonderful stay here. The accomodations were more than we had hoped. We were greeted by Connie & Michael when we arrived and they showed us around. The view is beautiful !! This home was perfect and had everything and more than we needed. I have been using VRBO for years for trips statewide, Ireland and Italy. I can easily say Connie and Mike have been the most welcoming and accommodating we have encountered. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Die Ferienwoche im und um das Shannonview-Ferienhaus wird uns lange in Erinnerung bleiben. Wir können den begeisterten Kommentaren vieler Gäste nur zustimmen. Was diese Ferienwoche aber zusätzlich zu etwas Besonderem machte, war das liebevolle Kümmern von Conny und Mike. Sie waren die guten Geister um uns herum, ohne uns auf den "Geist" zu gehen. Bei ihnen stand nicht die Vermietung an sich, sondern das Wohlfühlen der Gäste im Vordergrund. Danke, dass wir euch kennenlernen durften.

Der schoene Wintergarten ist sehr gemuetlich und bietet eine sehr tolle Aussicht auf den See. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig. Die Ausstattung ist sehr toll, hier vermisst man nichts. Nette Unterstuetzung und Hilfe bei Fragen.

Das Haus liegt an einer tollen Lage mit wunderbarer Aussicht auf den Shannon. Ruhig und ausserhalb vom Dorf und trotzdem irgendwie zentral. Haben tolle Ausfluege von hier gemacht. Die grosse Wiese und der Umschwung ist toll fuer unsere Hunde !

Wir haben dieses Haus als ein kleines, wunderbares Paradies empfunden. Ein Blick auf den See wie ein Farbenspiel zu den unterschiedlichen Tageszeiten. Die Ruhe... dann das Singen der Voegel... der kleine Park mit den Blumen, Palmen und Kanifern, die Wiese mit ihrer Artenvielfalt - haben uns erfreut und uns "gut" getan. Hier kann die Seele aufatmen. Die Innenaustattung so liebevoll eingerichtet... auf die Details geachtet. Wir haben uns sooo wohl gefuehlt. Danke fuer die liebevolle Begruessung und den Begruessungskorb. Unsere Erwartung zu 150% erfuellt. Wir sagen "Danke". Wir waren 5 erwachsene Personen und unsere Feedbackrunde am Ende des Urlaubs war einstimmig - "Hier hat alles gestimmt !". Wir waeren gerne laenger geblieben.

Das beschreibt es auf den Punkt. Wohler kann man sich nicht fühlen. Das Haus ist schon der Kracher. Mein Lieblingsplatz ist der Wintergarten. Doch bereits beim Befahren der Auffahrt hat man den ersten Wow-Effekt.
Die Ausstattung ist der Hit. Da fehlt nicht mal der Stabmixer.

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Connie, comme des membres de sa famille, très gentille et attentionnée. La maison a une vue magnifique, décorée avec goût et au calme. Il y a tout le confort nécessaire !

Wir können die Ferienwohnung nur wärmstens Empfehlen. Die Lage ist echt klasse, die Aussicht aus dem Wintergarten über den See einfach traumhaft. Die Vermieter Connie und Mike sind super nett und hilfsbereit. In der Ferienwohnung waren eine Menge Prospekte über die Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung und Connie hat uns einige Tipps gegeben was für uns interessant sein könnte. Durch die Zentrale Lage der Wohnung kommt man mit dem Auto auch sehr schnell überall hin. Vielen Dank Torsten, Sybille und Arne

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Cornelia’s and it was an absolutely incredible experience. The house is perched on a hilltop with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Whether you're enjoying your morning coffee on the conservatory or watching the sunset over the mountains, the views are simply stunning. Not only is the location breathtaking, but the host is incredibly friendly and welcoming. From the moment We arrived, we felt right at home. The host was always available to answer any questions I had and was more than happy to offer suggestions on things to do in the area. Overall, I cannot recommend this place enough. If you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing retreat with stunning views and a friendly host, this is the place for you. I can't wait to return!

Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit, die wir in euren Haus verbringen durften. Die Lage und Aussicht vor allem aus dem Wintergarten mit zurechtgelegten Fernglas ist einfach traumhaft. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, es fehlt wirklich an nichts. Bis zum kleinen Hafen sind es vielleicht 5 min Fußweg der sich recht leicht bewältigen lässt. Beim nächsten mal bringe ich definitiv meine Angelausrüstung mit :-) Ihr habt euch beide so liebevoll um uns gekümmert, das hatten wir so auch noch nicht erlebt. Cornelia is the best, the place was lovely with a incredible view. Cornelia was the best like I said but I have to mention her again because she is. The fireplace is also really nice and cosy. It was lovely ! We really enjoyed our stay here. Besides, you are a wonderful host and you gave us a very warm welcome. We loved the fireplace and the conservatory, as well as the beautiful view.

It was a lovely property - one of the coziest and cleanest that we had been to. Connie was a super host in every way. The location was exactly what we needed for a quiet family holiday. We are avid travellers and not many properties / hosts impress us the way this did. Highly recommend

Beautiful property, beautiful location, spacious, well kept. Loved the short walk to the lake. Had everything we could have needed during our stay. Having the washer and dryer was super convenient ! I loved that we had the option to have a fire as well. My favourate part was probably the peace and quiet. It's the perfect place to relax. Beautiful property out in in Tipperary county. We flew out to Dublin for a week for work, then wanted to spend our second week in Ireland somewhere more quiet. We rented a car from Dublin Airport and drove(about 2 hours 10 min or so). Property was absolutely amazing, the pictures don't do it justice. It was larger than I was expecting; Connie, the host, was extremely accommodating and communicative via whatsapp throughout our stay, which was great as we were international travelers without a phone plan, so we could use the wifi. Would definitely recommend renting a car to get around. It was somewhere around an hour 15min to get to Galway, which is a great place to spend some time, or grab a tour and see the Cliffs of Moher. The property is the perfect place to relax, and seems like it would be great for a larger group as well. Would love to stay again next time I'm in Ireland!

Absolutely perfect from start to finish! The house, the view, the hosts were amazing! Connie and Mike couldn’t do enough for us. Ein wunderbares Ferienhaus. Am tollsten ist der Wintergarten mit traumhaften Blick auf den Lough Derg von Sonnenauf- bis zum - untergang ! Das Ferienhaus ist allerbestens ausgestattet, es fehlt an ueberhaupt gar nichts. Es ist genug Geschirr, Glaeser, Besteck auch fuer viele Personen vorhanden, ebenso wie Waschmaschinenmittel + Geschirrspueltabs. Und was nicht da ist, besorgt die Gastgeberin Conny. Conny + Mike sind ganz zauberhalte Gastgeber, die uns jederzeit mit Rat, Tat, Hinweisen zu den lokalen Events etc. zur Seite gestanden haben. Wir haetten es nicht besser treffen koennen und koennen dieses tolle Haeuschen nur waermstens empfehlen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder !

We have loved everything about Shannonview. You have thought so kindly & carefully to give us everything & more that we need to have a very comfortable & enjoyable stay. It's very clear to us that you genuinely want your visitors to have an enjoyable & comfortable stay & you have definitely achieved it. The house is in a fantastic location with amazing views & garden but also we have absolutely everything here. You've equipped it so well that we really cannot think of anything to improve it. The kind warm welcome from Connie & making sure we were ok was very much appreciated. The trip on Mike's boat was such a treat. Thank you to you both for making our trip to Shannonview & Ireland so special. We have stayed in many Selfcatering cottages over the years & this is definitely by far the best we've ever been to. Your thought and kindness is reflected in everything & you have considered the needs of everyone that would stay here. So we'd like to say a big thank you for making our time here so special. Connie and Mike are phenomenal hosts. Such a relaxing site and easy access to pretty much all of Ireland in a day trip. Getting away from the busyness of the large cities was our goal and Ballinderry more than met our needs. The house gave everyone their own private space and all the comforts of home too!

Das Ferienhaus Shannonview liegt malerisch am See und beinhaltet alles was wir für unseren Urlaub gebraucht haben. Wir haben viel Zeit auf der Terasse, im Kaminzimmer oder im Wintergarten verbracht und die Zeit genoßen. Es ist alles da, angefangen von Fön über Adapter für Steckdosen, Broschüren für Ausflugsziele, einen zweiten Kühlschrank und ein separates Spielezimmer. Fussläufig ist ein Pub zu erreichen (circa 20min zu Fuss), Einkaufsmöglichkeiten circa 15min mit dem Auto. Eignet sich gut um sternförmig ganz Irland zu erkunden, da es sehr zentral liegt.

Lakeview is a stunning property, with amazing views of Lough Derg and the surrounding countryside. We're a family of five, our kids aged 4, 7 and 9, and we couldn't have been happier during our stay. The house is warm and well laid out, and everything is catered for, from a well-stocked kitchen to a wonderful outside area, games room and sun room. Connie was very helpful and flexible around check-in and the property was immaculately clean when we arrived. She was also very helpful about things to do in the area. We'll be back again soon we hope.

The house was absolutely perfect. The owners are the loveliest people you’ll ever meet and they were so helpful and nice with everything. The view over the lake is just otherworldly. Something I could just stare at for hours on end. The house had everything you could possibly need and it was super comfortable.

A truly spectacular stay. Connie and Mike are helpful, kind, and all around wonderful people. Our bags were lost at the airport and they arranged to have them dropped off at their house because we didn't have working phone numbers and they hand delivered them to us! The place is beautiful. The view of the lake is stunning and it feels like it changes every day. The restaurant and pub that are right in town couldn't be more delightful and it's an ideal location to take day trips almost anywhere in Ireland! I cannot recommend this place enough. My sister and I can't wait to come back and stay again!

Loved the peace and quiet. Lovely place set up from the lake. Comfy and everything we needed. Enjoyed my stay and with a lovely log fire on a December night, it was perfect.

We had a lovely stay here in December. Connie was so attentive to any question we had and made our stay special to us. The house and grounds are beautiful, omg that view was fabulous .. It rained one day but the house was so well equipped and comfortable we didn't mind one bit!! Lovely walks and restaurants nearby. Really enjoyed our stay. would love to come back in summer as it would be even better explore surroundings.

All 5 of us Oh family felt this place as home, thank you. We enjoyed every moment of each day. What an amazing accommodation, breathtaking view. We had an amazing 4 days with family. Perfect place come rain or sunshine. There is plenty to do in any weather. The house has everything you will need and the host is friendly, helpful and accomodating. We will definitely be returning in the summer. The house is spacious and well set out. We loved that every room has its own bathroom and our favourite part of the whole house was the Sun Room. We spent most of our time there just relaxing. The house has the most amazing view and so much space to play outside or just go for a walk.

Had a great week at this stunning location. The property is well equipped and every room and touch has been thought through in detail for guest. Would both recommend and look to return. The secure perimeter fence made taking the dog so easy!

Dieses Jahr hat es glücklicherweise geklappt mit unserem Irlandbesuch! Bessere Gastgeber als Connie und Mike kann man sich wirklich nicht wünschen. So hilfsbereit, so herzlich, so freundlich! Da ist kein Weg zu weit, kein Handgriff zu viel, um den Ferienhausgästen behilflich zu sein. Im Haus hat es uns an nichts gefehlt. Man merkt, dass sich hier jemand genau Gedanken gemacht hat, was man im Urlaub in einem Ferienhaus alles brauchen könnte. Und sollte es doch einmal an etwas fehlen oder irgendetwas nicht funktionieren, kann man sicher sein, dass Connie und Mike in kürzester Zeit Abhilfe schaffen. Das Haus ist sehr groß, der Garten wunderschön gepflegt, der Blick auf den See wirklich atemberaubend. Man könnte stundenlang einfach nur im Wintergarten sitzen und auf den See blicken. Und das Haus ist ein prima Ausgangspunkt für viele Ausflugsziele. Wir waren am Rock of Cashel, Clonmagnoise, Kilkee cliffs, Limerick, Ennis, Galway... Alles im Umkreis von 200 km maximal zu erreichen. Sogar Dublin ist nur rund 190 km entfernt. Excellent location, excellent hosts, great weather and fabulous house. We couldn't have enjoyed our stay here any more. Connie and Mike were great hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. the local restaurants served gorgeous food and were very accommodating as we had a dog for company . The Lough is within walking distance of the house so great for the kids too.

Upon arrival at shannonview, we were immediately blown away by the breathtaking view of Lough Derg from the house. Connie was there to greet us and immediately we felt welcomed as she showed us around the house and told us how everything worked. Kilgarvan Quay, a 10 min walk where Lough Derg Watersports kayaking is a must, also great for a mooch about the marina and a dip in the lake. De Roistes bbq in Ballinderry for beers and a good feed in a fab setting. A trip to Birr and Portumna castle well worth the short trips. Its a really lovely part of the country for a relaxing break away. Connie and Mike are terrific hosts who will ensure you feel at home. Thanks for a brilliant week at Shannonview

What we liked about the house: lakeviews and sunset in the conservatory; well equipped kitchen, clean cutlery and utensils and kitchenware. Spacious kitchen. Instructions for using TV and equipment in kitchen makes everything easy to use. WIFI was great to have. Great supply of books, good to know they were there as weather was hit and miss. Lots of blankets. Well maintained garden.

Very clean, spacious and comfortable. Was a secure and well maintained garden for our dog to play in. Fully stocked kitchen with everything we could have needed. Fantastic view while enjoying the barbeque. Teenage kids were very happy.

Man konnte deutlich sehen, dass sich jemand Muehe gegeben hat, alle eventuellen Beduerfnisse von Gaesten vorherzusehen. Wir waren schon in einigen Ferienunterkuenften mit netten und kompetenten Gastgebern, aber das ist eine neue Qualitaet.

Sommes nous les 4 tres satisfaits de notre sejour. Maison tres bien situee avec tres belle vue sur le lac belle et spacieuse avec tout le confort. A recommander. Everything was available. The view alone is worth visiting for, just to sit in conservatory and look out in the evenings, so relaxing. We enjoyed seeing all the birds in your lovely garden and even wildflowers. Plenty of interesting places to visit. I don't think you could do any more than what you did. Thank you.

Shannonview was absolutely wonderful !! The property was prepared to the 9s, including laminated guides to answer all possible questions about household appliances and operations. Connie and Mike were the perfect hosts, so friendly, and concerned only with our comfort and pleasure during our stay. Mike even left a bottle of my treasured Bitburger Pils on the stoop one evening after our daily travels. What a lovely and engaging couple ! Shannonview was the perfect launching point for all our sightseeing, from Galway to the Cliffs of Moher, from Bunratty Castle to Cork and of course the Blarney Castle and the Blarney Stone. Our favourite and most enduring memory will be the spectacular panoramic view high over the river Shannon at sunset, enjoyed every evening of our stay from the full window wrap around enclosed sun porch. We sure filled up our camera storage with those beautiful scenes. And finally, it should be noted that we never even turned on the TV, we were so enthralled with the views and the property !! Thank you so much for everything !

Wunderbare Lage, sehr gute Ausstattung, die sehr gute Betreuung. Hier fehlt einem nichts. Perfekt ist die Ausstattung mit den jeweiligen Badezimmern und die grosszuegige Kueche, die gemuetliche Sitzecke und der Wintergarten nicht zu vergessen.

It was comfortable, had all the amenities of home and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We built a fire one evening and it was delightful. Shannonview is also convenient to both Borrisokane and Portumna. The views are fantastic and the Lough is just down the road a bit. Thank you for a wonderful stay. It was absolutely lovely. P.S. Connie is a wonderful landlady, she made sure we had what we needed and checked on us regularly.

When we began looking for a house rental for our vacation, I never imagined finding a home away from home. Anything and everything you possibly needed was already waiting for you. The location was even better than I had hoped, we were able to visit the Cliffs, Cork and the Rock of Cashel during the day and come back home for the evenings to rest and relax. This was the best ! Being able to visit places and come back to chirping birds, beautiful sunsets, and more stars than we could count was more than we could have hoped for.

So far the best Airbnb Host ever!! We have stayed with lovely hosts but Cornelia and her husband made this trip second to none. The house is more than you can see from the photos. Is super cozy, great views, many small touches dont have the space to list them all. Everything is thought of. View and fenced gardens for dogs probably our favourite highlights. But the hospitality takes first place. Will definitely return!!!

The house really feels like our home. The beds, pillows and furniture are comfy which is important. Having coffee, washer/dryer and enough towels made the difference. The extra added shampoo, conditioner and soap was a very nice touch. If and when we come back to Ireland, Shannonview Selfcatering will be our first choice, if you will have us again. We have rented a dozen VRBO/Homeaway homes and yours, by far, is the best. We are grateful to you for being a wonderful hostess. Sehr gemuetliches Haus in toller Lage. Die Aussicht aus dem Wintergarten und die Ruhe insgesamt lassen einen das Haus kaum verlassen. Kueche, Wohnzimmer, Schlafzimmer und Baeder haben alles was man braucht und sind in allerbester Ordnung. Ein gutes Buch in Kombination mit dem Blick auf den Lough Derg - ein einmalige Situation, beruhigend und ein Fest der Sinne - sofern man dies zulassen moechte.

Ein traumhaftes Ferienhaus mit einem idyllischen Ausblick auf den Lough Derg. Wir konnten wunderschoene Sonnenuntergaenge im Wintergarten geniessen. Die Ausstattung laesst keine Wuensche offen. Nach 3 Wochen rundum zufrieden, erholt und begeistert von Irland kehren wir nach Deutschland zurueck.

Wir haben uns grossartig erholt in diesem wunderbar gelegenen Haus mit super Aussicht auf den Shannon. Nicht vergessen werden wir sicherlich auch den tollen Wintergarten und die angenehme "Betreuung" durch Euch.

Der Blick ueber den See ist atemberaubend, ebenso wie das Sternenzelt bei Nacht. Der Kamin ist toll & sehr gemuetlich. Wir waren ueberrascht, wie gut das Haus ausgestattet ist. Es hat an nichts gefehlt.

The view of Lough Derg from the conservatory at the front of the house was simply spectacular. The house was extremely comfortable and very well equipped for a relaxing short break, or indeed for a longer break, and the hosts were wonderfully hospitable.

In your house we did not feel like kings but we felt the warmest wellcome reserved only to long-time, good, old friends. Everything here is prepared with love, care and heart & soul. The house was even better than we expected. There was so much room for all of us, all amenities were provided and our 6 year old especially loved the game room ! The house is in a great location and we are already talking about coming back to stay for a week in the summer - hopefully in the next year or two.

This was my favourite holiday home ! I do not want to leave ! The house is so spacious and comfortable. The views are amazing and the open fire was a big hit. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and for the first time we didn't have to shop for essentials like washing powder etc. Connie and Mike couldn't do enough for us. Such lovely people. Had a great stay in Shannonview, it was the perfect place to relax after work, with all the comforts of home in very peaceful surroundings. It's a pity I was here for work as I would have loved to have seen more of the area. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Everything was perfect starting with the detailed instructions how to get to the house. Not only was Connie waiting for us even though we were 2 hours late - she had a wonderful welcome basket complete with tomatoes from her garden. The house was so well stocked with everything we needed we only had to buy fresh food. There were detailed instructions for all appliances and Connie went over them as well. There was even a cell phone if we needed to use it. We felt very welcome especially when we saw the chocolates on our beds. The house was extremely clean and the view was beautiful. The grounds were very well kept. Connie was friendly as was her husband Mike and both were readily available if we needed anything. I would recommend Shannonview to anyone coming to Ireland.

Im September 2017 stand unser 3 Besuch im Ferienhaus von Conny und Mike an!
Dieses Mal kamen wir mit vielen Freunden, das Haus war voll belegt und Conny hat es geschafft alle anderen in der Nähe unter zu bringen.
Auch diese Woche war wieder ein Erlebnis!
Der Wintergarten ist einfach ein Traum, ob morgens, egal bei welchem Wetter und auch abends bis in die späten Stunden beim gemütlichen Beisammensein.
Die Besuche im Pub waren gemütlich, das Essen einfach ein Traum!
Alles lief wie gewohnt, sehr unproblematisch.
Conny und Mike stehen mit Rat und Tat!! bei Seite und sind sehr hilfsbereit, Man fühlt sich wie in einer großen Familie!
Auch unsere Freunde, die zum ersten Mal dabei waren, sind genauso begeistert wie wir!

The house is in a lovely location by the lake. It isn't too far from the towns either. You are in easy reach of attractions too. You have plenty to offer in the house too with basic foods & toiletries. The poolroom/darts with other equipment is great for the children. We were very grateful for the use of your rowing boat. My favourite thing was the fantastic view of the lake from the bedroom & conservatory every day. You have been the most helpful holiday landlords we have ever had in many years of letting like this.

Ein vollausgestattetes, geräumiges Ferienhaus, es fehlt an nichts!
Dazu ist Connie eine perfekte, unkomplizierte Gastgeberin, die mit Rat und Tat weiterhilft, wenn man es braucht. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl, besonders beim morgentlichen Tee im Wintergarten. Bei dem tollen Ausblick spielt das Wetter keine Rolle. Ausflugsziele in der Umgebung gibt es reichlich, selbst die Cliffs of Mohar sind gut erreichbar.

Das Gesamtpaket stimmt hier einfach. Es fehlt an nichts und man kann die Zeit hier geniessen und komplett abschalten.

This is a beautiful part of the world. Shannon view is a large and fairly secluded property, so quiet and peaceful. The house is comfortable with good internet, sky tv, large rooms, play room for kids, garage with darts and pool table, and fully equipped kitchen, large gardens which look ideal for dogs. Connie was very attentive to start with then left us to get on with it.....a perfect host. The weather was beautiful when we were there and we spent an awful lot of time out front reading in peace. We visited several wee local villages and towns like Borrisokane, Portumna, Athlone, Nenagh, Birr, which were all within easy driving distance. Our favourite was the Derg Inn in Terryglass...about a 7 minute drive away. Apart from that there were quite a few shops in nearby villages selling a lot of local fresh food like meat, bread, eggs and cakes. I found the Irish people very friendly. Motorway from Dublin to Nenagh was excellent and Connie provided excellent directions from there to Shannonview. It's a 10 minute walk from Lough Derg but we're not that interested in water activities but it was nice to look at.

We had a wonderful stay at your lovely Shannonview cottage (House). The view, the warm welcome, the delicious veggies you brought us from your own garden.... we had a great time here. Thank you so much. Your house is very well equipped, everything is there. And yesterday, we could say hi to the fox in the back yard ! Thanks again.

We stayed in this lovely house for 3 nights in June 2017. The house has everything you could want. We travelled with a 9 year old and a 17 year old. They were well entertained. There is a lovely playroom for the smaller kids and the house has wifi and a pool table in the garage which kept the teenager happy. The host Connie could not be more helpful. The welcome basket on arrival was a lovely touch. There is lots to do in the area. We had a lovely meal at the local restaurant and did some kayaking of the lake with lough derg water sports. We will definitely be back.

You made our stay very special. We felt at home here. My favorite thing was the wonderful view. My parents loved the glass room because of warmth and view. Your home was what we all needed and is in a perfect place.

We loved the central location of the house - you can get to many places with a short drive. Very calming and quiet. Just like at home. En plus de la maison a que nous avons vraiement apprecie, c'est notre relation avec Connie, la proprietaire. C'est une dame super charmante, qui a le soucis de bien etre de ses hotes. Elle est en plus de tres bon conseil concernant les visites, les restaurants et disponible.

Nous avons passe d'excellentes vacances en Irlande et chez Connie, toutes les conditions etaient reinies, nous avons meme eu de soleil et peu de pluie. Merci, Connie, continuez ainsi.

The house was lovely and presented very well. The addition of Sky TV and Wifi was also really good and refreshing to see. The kitchen was also very well stocked with all utensils. The welcome hamper was also a lovely thing to receive.

We'll give Shannonview a 5* ! It was very clean, and the kitchen had everything and more you'll need to prepare your meals. Connie & Mike (the owners) were extremely kind and helpful ! We loved the gorgeous view of the home over the lake, and our 2 dogs loved the huge front and backyard ! Connie brought us delicious produce from her garden and surprised us with a lovely welcome basket on our arrival. We'ld love to come back ! Every single room had a very comfortable feel to it. We felt like home !

Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefuehlt. Das Haus ist sehr grosszuegig und mit allem ausgestattet was das Herz begehrt. Trotz des vielen Regens haben wir einige Ausfluege in die naehere Umgebung unternommen und konnten auch den grossen Garten mit Grill benutzen !

Der Ausblick ist super, gut gelegen, alles perfekt. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden, Ankommen und Wohlfuehlen.

Unbedingt zu empfehlen, wenn man kein Englisch spricht, da Vermieter deutschsprachig. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind von der Wohnung aus erreichbar, sofern man über einen Mietwagen verfügt. Die Lage ist traumhaft. Wir haben sogar einen Tag keinen Ausflug unternommen um das Ambiente der Wohnung ausgiebig geniessen zu können.

Logement tres agreable, conforme a nos attentes. Ideal pour une famille avec des enfants. Tout le necessaire (electromaneger) est a disposition. Accueil chaleureux, avec un bonus, un panier garni le jour de l'arrivee. Bref, sejour tres agreable et sans une seule goutte de pluie pendant la semaine. Merci.

La maison est tres agreable et la vue est magnifique. L'equipment est complet (seche cheveux, adaptateurs, etc...). Le salon est l'endroit le plus "cosy" de la maison car nous avons la vue sur le lac et le feu de cheminee. Le panier garni est tres apprecie des petits et grands. Ne changez rien. Il y a tout comme a l'hotel, tres appreciable quand on vient de loin (lits faits, serviettes fournis, chocolats, bouteilles d'eau...). Merci beaucoup pour votre acceiul et votre disponibilite. Au plaisir de revenir en Irlande.

La maison est tres spacieuse et fonctionelle. Tout le materiel et equipements sont a notre disposition, c'est comme a la maison = "we feel like home". Accueil parfait, explications excellents et en francais ! Vue magnifique, cadre exceptionnel, situation geographique ideale, tout pour poser des vacances de reve en Irlande.

The house is on an elevated site with beautiful views over Lough Derg. Everything was spotlessly clean, and really well appointed. Connie had left some drinks for us on our arrival, and fuel for the fire. Everything you could possibly need is included - there's even a pool table in the garage, board games in the second sitting room and sky tv. There's lots to do in the area, especially if you like fishing or other outdoor activities, and its within easy access of the Burren, Galway and Limerick. The personal touch is evident everywhere, and Connie went to great lengths to make sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this holiday home!

What we like the best was the layout of the house, the grounds and the view were lovely. It was a beautiful stay ! Nothing was missing, the house was well equipped.

Die Reise nach Irland war ein Geschenk zum 50 Geburtstag. Erst dachten wir, oh im Winter( wir waren vom 25.01-31.1.2016 dort) aber weit gefehlt . Es war sehr schön zu dieser Jahreszeit ( Golfstrom). Nachdem wir unseren Mietwagen in Empfang genommen haben , machten wir uns auch schon auf den Weg zu unserer gemieteten Ferienunterkunft , wo wir herzlich von Cornelia empfangen wurden . Da sie aus Deutschland kommt und schon seit 20 Jahren in Irland lebt war die Verständigung für uns sehr angenehm. Das Ferienhaus liegt direkt am Ufer des Shannon. Von der Terrasse hat man einen beeindruckenden Blick. Das Haus ist perfekt , großzügig und gemütlich (vor allem der Kamin :-) ) und der tolle Wintergarten, wo man wunderschöne gemütliche Abende verbringen kann. Ein extra Spielzimmer gab es auch .In den liebevoll eingerichteten Schlafzimmern ( 3 Stück an der Zahl) und auch in den 3 Bädern konnte man sich einfach nur wohlfühlen. Allerlei nützliche Tipps für unsere Ausflüge und zu den Örtlichkeiten waren von Conny inclusive . Da die Unterkunft zentral gelegen ist, war dieser ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt um den Süden ,den Westen und auch den Osten Irlands zu erkunden.

Noch einmal ein riesiges Dankeschön an Conny , du hast dazu beigetragen das dieser Irlandurlaub für uns unvergesslich war . Gerne kommen wir wieder :-)

Our recent stay at Shannonview was an absolute highlight of our Ireland holiday. The owners have done a wonderful job of making sure everything you could possibly need is provided and the bungalow is so welcoming and has a beautiful homely feel to it. There is vast array of information on the area and Ireland as a whole and from the start of our initial contact till the end of our stay Connie and Mike made us feel like family. The house has fast and free wifi and satellite TV with loads do channels if your in the relaxing mood. The bungalow is more than comfortable and is exactly as described in the photos only better in my opinion. The views are to die for and the area is just so beautiful and serene. I cannot recommend Shannonview self catering highly enough...truly an exceptional stay with lifelong wonderful memories made. I hope that I am blessed to one day come bake fir a longer stay.

The house was very good and the conservatory was best. It was also good to have three bedrooms and three bathrooms. We liked your help with the road directions to the house and back to the airport. We've had a great time in Shannonview. The view is beautiful and the house has everything you need. You were very kind to us and gave us a lot of helpful information, such as the directions to a town or supermarket and when there is traditional music in the town nearby. We had fun in the local pub listening to the music. We've also spend a lot of time at the house, the garden and patio are great if the weather is nice.

We stayed at the Shannonview Selfcatering house for 6 days in late May. the owners, Connie and Mike, were fabulous hosts. My family of 5 was visiting from the US, and they were incredibly hospitable and helpful in making our stay great. There were a couple of unpredictable snafu's with the house, but Connie and Mike were highly responsive and took care of those problems immediately. Mike and Connie met us a the house for a tour upon our arrival. They left us a very nice gift basket, and they even offered to babysit so my wife and I could have a night out without the kids!

The house itself was just as described. Very spacious, well-kept, and comfortable. Not luxurious, but very comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of supplies and all staples you'd need.

The location is relatively convenient to Galway and Limerick, and to sites on the West coast of Ireland. Incredible view of the lake and the countryside from the sunroom, and a cozy fireplace in the living room for chilly nights. We could not have been happier with the place or our hosts.

The house is awesome. It was better than expected (if possible) and has more to offer than we could enjoy in almost a whole week. Sights from the living room are impressive, facing towards sunset. It's near the road but it's a very quiet one. It's a very warm house, fully furnished and everything was in the best condition. The perfect base camp to enjoy almost every part of Ireland. The best part is that we were treated not as customers nor even guests, but as friends.

The house sounded really good online and it lived up to all our expectations. It is very roomy and comfortable and extremely well equipped. Having the en-suites was great and very practical. The WIFI was a real bonus as was the SKY TV. It was all so good it is difficult to highlight any one thing, but perhaps it would be the stunning views of the Shannon. Connie was excellent and not only made us very welcome but was extremely useful and helpful. We really enjoyed our short stay and look forward to coming back again.

Unser Kurztrip nach Irland war ein voller Erfolg. Die Tage im Shannonview Ferienhaus konnten wir in vollsten Zügen genießen. We were very impressed with the accommodation. It was clean, well equipped and the "little extras" made it very welcoming. The large enclosed gardens for the dogs were a great bonus.

Home from home, everything you could need was provided. Beds really comfy. Spotless. Views amazing. Connie very friendly and welcoming. Best bit was being able to bring (Alfie) our wee dog with us. He loved running around out the back. Would love to come back in the summer.

Shannonview Selfcatering is the best holiday house I have ever stayed. Everything is perfect and couldn't be better. We had Christmas Eve dinner with Connie & Mike. They also invited us to a dinner at their house. The dogs are so friendly. Connie and Mike also brought us to Paddy's Pub, a lovely local pub near their house. Everybody in the village is hospitable. We stayed in this cosy house for a Christmas retreat. Really relaxed and enjoyable experience to explore midland Ireland. We plan to come to come back for a few days relax every year.

The house is beautiful. We love it, everything is here, reasonably priced. Overall, we were very happy with you house, hospitality and the view is super amazing. Very well kept and clean. To think that we brought toilet roll with us! This holiday home has everything you could possibly need. The directions were clear, the house spotless and the view fantastic. Connie is such a delight to deal with and really thinks of everything. We loved being able to light a fire in the cosy sitting room before curling up in the super comfortable beds. It's a really peaceful location but within reach of lots of sites worth visiting. It was a great setting for a relaxed weekend away with friends.

Bereits die Buchung erfolgte problemlos mit umfangreichen Informationen. Vor Ort erwarteten uns ausgesprochen gastfreundliche deutschsprachige Vermieter (mit kleinem kulinarischen Begrüßungskorb!), die uns den Aufenthalt auf nette und unkomplizierte Art sehr angenehm gestalteten und jederzeit für unser Wohlbefinden und für Fragen zu Haus und Land erreichbar waren.
Das Haus ist sauber und mit allen Notwendigkeiten und vielen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Selbst Gebrauchsmittel aller Art waren großzügig vorhanden.
Die Lage ist einfach traumhaft. We had a very good time at the Shannonview house. It was very special because of the nice well equipped house with plenty of space, the beautiful view at the Shannon and especially the kindness of Connie and Mike. We love this place and the owners. The house is very well equipped and complete and the atmosphere is personal. Don't change anything ! We liked the personal attention of Connie and the stories of Mike. Not to mention the view and the people of Ireland.

"Shannonview selfcatering is "home away from home" !

The Shannonview home is all that it is described and more. The home has beautiful views of the surrounding area, especially Lough Derg. My wife and I met up with other family members there for a week-long holiday. The home is large enough for the five adults in our party and it would make a very suitable place to stay for families with young children. It has a large kitchen, comfortable dining area, three bedrooms and bathrooms, a den, front room, and a conservatory. The floor plan is such that we were able to enjoy each others company, or find a quiet room to read a book or watch a movie. We took day trips to Killarney, Bunratty Castle, Killaloe, and visited Dingle. The little village of Terryglass is quaint and we stopped by Paddy's Pub several times for a pint. Connie Downey was very helpful with suggestions regarding the local area and Ireland in general and she always replied quickly to emails and text messaging. She provided excellent customer service. This was my first experience with a self catering accommodation and the Shannonview home has made me a believer. I would definitely recommend the Shannonview self catering home to family and friends. It truly felt like our home away from home.

Wir hatten einen traumhaften Urlaub an einem der schönsten Orte Irlands. Es ist schwer sich hier an diesem traumhaften Ort mit dieser herrlichen Aussicht nicht zu erholen. Shannonview Haus ist ein kleines Paradies mit einem herrlichen Blick, der in Natura noch viel besser ist, als auf den Fotos ersichtlich. Wir danken Conny und Mike für die 2 Wochen, in denen wir hier wohnen durften. An einem Ort, der soviel zu bieten hat. Conny und Mike sind 2 herzensgute und lustige Menschen mit unglaublicher Großzügigkeit. Sie haben Irland zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis gemacht in dem sie uns mit ihrem Land und seinen freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Menschen bekannt gemacht haben. Vielen Dank Conny und Mike für einen unserer schönsten Urlaube! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen :)

"Beautiful house in a stunning location, very welcoming and helpful owners.”

Myself and my sister travelled with our two dogs (Ruby and Finn) to Tipperary for 10 days to stay in this wonderful house. I can only say that it surpassed all expectations. The house is wonderful, with everything you could possibly need. It was a real joy to come back to after a day's adventure with the dogs. The location is superb, with a wonderful view of the lakes. In the evening, we sat in the conservatory with a glass of wine (or two!) and watched the sun go down. If it was a bit chilly, there's a real fire - a real bonus to me, as I love the sounds and smells of a real fire.

We have two large dogs - a labrador and a golden retriever - and they were in their element here. There's a large enclosed garden and they were completely safe running around outside. The house is also a great location for day trips - and there are many good walks around the area (but small country roads - you will need a hi-vis jacket and your wits about you). Portumna Forest is a short drive away, and we even made it to Galway (Spiddal and Salthill) twice (about 1 1/2 hr away). There is also Kilgarvan Quay (a short walk from the house) and lovely drives along the lakes.

The best thing about the house was the owners - Connie and Mike - who went out of their way to make us welcome. They are such lovely people, and we really felt at home in their lovely house. Connie even minded our dogs while myself and my sister went for a drink one evening in Paddy's in Terryglass!

All in all, this was a wonderful holiday, and I'd highly recommend staying at Shannonview. Looking forward to a return visit!

Shannonview was the perfect place for us! We toured several southern counties in Ireland and all were within a few hours drive, just as promised. Connie's home was warm, welcoming, roomy and extremely comfortable. The magnificent "lake country view" took our breath away. Connie was a wonderful host and we truly enjoyed our stay. We happily recommend this property for anyone interested in touring Tipperary and the magnificent sights of Southern Ireland !

Living and working in Chicago, what we liked best is the absolute quiet this house offers. We enjoyed two weeks of solitude and were able to recharge our batteries. If this is what you are looking for, I would highly recommend this beautiful house.

We spent most of our time reading and enjoying the view, going on long walks along the lake, and enjoying the many sights all within a short drive from the house.

We arrived completely exhausted from the long trip. Connie made us feel right at home and we wanted for nothing the entire trip. They were there if we needed us and even supplied us with a cellphone.

Das Haus mit Blick auf den See, einfach traumhaft. Wir haben es meist im Wintergarten genossen, unserem Lieblingsraum. Die Wegbeschreibung von Dublin aus zum Ferienhaus war schon perfekt – immer daran halten ! Die grosse Gastfreundschaft hier ist beeindruckend und unvergessen. Ein Wahnsinns-Erholungseffekt ist garantiert: die unkomplizierten Gastgeber, die tausend Möglichkeiten zu Ausflügen, natur pur, Ausblicke wie gemalt, jede Stunde ein anderes Licht; ideal für alle, die ein Auge fuer das Schöne haben. Wer nur Natur sucht, ist hier richtig, und wer Kultur sucht, auch: Bunratty Castle, the Cliffs of Moher, Ausflüge in die Orte bieten für jeden etwas ! Die grosse Gastfreundschaft zeigt sich auch bei einem Besuch im Pub, unbedingt zu empfehlen sind regelmässige Besuche in Paddys Pub – mit Heimbringservice am Wochenende und mit ursprünglicher Live Music an bestimmten Tagen. La maison est tres confortable et nous avons beaucoup apprécié. Nous avons egalement beaucoup apprécié la gentillenesse, la disponsibilité, la convivialité et la génerosité de Connie. Un grand merci a Mike pour le tour en bateau sur le lac. Les enfant ont adore. Vacances tres reussies.

​​​​​​​​Wir hatten, dank des tollen Service, 14 wunderschöne Tage am Lough Derg. Terryglass ist ein schön zentral gelegener Ort um Irland zu erkunden. Ob die legendären Cliffs of Moher oder die Whiskeybrennerei in Tullamore, alles ist gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Ein Auto für den Urlaub zu mieten funktioniert problemlos am Flughafen, und ist auch notwendig, da öffentliche Verkehrsmittel rar gesät sind (kleiner Tipp: am Wochenende gibt es auch von Paddy's Pub einen kostenlosen Shuttleservice nach Hause). Der See eignet sich wunderbar zum Bestaunen, Fotografieren und natürlich auch für eine Bootsfahrt. Die Vermieter sind tolle Ansprechpartner für alle Fragen die noch offen stehen. Ob es um Ausflugsziele oder Einkaufsmöglichkeiten oder Kinobesuche geht. Auch über aktuelle Veranstaltungen in der Umgebung wird man hervorragend informiert. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit!

Wer mit Hunden in die Ferien fährt, kann die „schönste Zeit des Jahres“ nur dann restlos geniessen, wenn er hundertprozentig sicher sein kann, dass er als Gast in einem fremden Ferienhaus auch mit seinen 4-Beinern rundum willkommen ist. Wir übertreiben nicht, wenn wir hier schreiben, dass wir kaum je freundlicher, herzlicher und unkomplizierter empfangen wurden, und dass dies ohne Unterschied auch für unsere beiden Labradore galt. Sei es das Organisieren einer Konsultation beim Tierarzt (wegen einer „mitgebrachten“ Bindehautentzündung) oder die Einführung in die irischen Pub-Gebräuche, sei es eine spontane Ausfahrt mit dem Boot auf dem Shannon oder die Empfehlung eines ausgezeichneten Restaurants in der unmittelbaren Umgebung, immer haben uns Connie und Mike schnell und mit grösster Hilfsbereitschaft unterstützt, und dies mit stets angenehm diskreter Zurückhaltung. Als zentral gelegene „Basis“ für Tagesausflüge in alle vier Himmelsrichtungen eignet sich dieses Ferienhaus ausgezeichnet. Und wer die Ruhe sucht, findet sie, je nach Wetter, im wunderschönen und grosszügigen Garten oder auf den verschiedenen Sofas im Haus, in die man so herrlich „versinken“ kann;-) A propos Wetter: in unserer ersten Ferienwoche haben wir massenhaft Sonnencrème verbraucht und uns wegen der Hitze meist in den nahegelegenen Waldpark von Portumna verzogen. Fazit: Irland und das Ferienhaus Shannonview können wir Hunde- wie Nichthundebesitzern rundum empfehlen. Und ein herzliches Dankeschön an Connie und Mike für drei wunderbare Wochen – unbestritten die bisher schönsten in diesem Jahr!

Superbe vue sur le Shannon et plus encore au couchee due soleil. Maison lumineuse at tres bien equipee. Accueil charmant de Connie avec beaucoup de convivialite et toutes les indications pour utiliser les appareils. Tout es note sur des fiches .. un veritable "jeu de piste" tres efficace. Une tres bonne adresse qui peutetre recommondee pour a 6 personnes sans ​​probleme. Et une grande envie de revenir !!!

"Home from home with a spectacular view!"
Just got back last night from our stay at Shannonview. I'd only ever booked a holiday using a travel agent so didn't know what to expect from booking independently. Have to say it was very easy. The bungalow is exactly how it's advertised plus more! Connie gave us a very warm welcome, including some foodie/drinkie gifts which my hubby was very pleased with. She also made it very easy to contact her should we have any problems (which we didn't). The bungalow is very roomy and comfortable with extras in the kitchen such as washing up liquid, tea towels, tea, coffee, salt, pepper etc. For anyone with mobility issues (I myself have MS) there are quite a few steps at the front but not as many at the back. The beds are sooooo comfy. I told Connie she needed to get rid of them as they're so comfortable you don't want to get up on a morning!

Das absolute Highlight war der extra Fernsehraum und W-Lan. Wir waren rundum zufrieden ! Es hat alles funktioniert, es war sauber, sozusagen alles perfekt. Am besten gefallen hat uns die tolle Gastfreundschaft ! Danke, Connie, es war super !!!

My girlfriend and I traveled here with my parents who are both in their 60s as a home-base to explore Ireland. The entire process was so easy from start to finish, and far exceeded our expectations. Anything, and everything you could think of could be found within the home, including wi-fi which was very useful in planning our day trips. Washer/Dryer was a huge plus, and so was the dishwasher. There is plenty of space for a large family, and plenty to keep kids entertained with. Very private, and secluded. We immediately felt right at home with Connie's help, and would recommend this home to anyone. Plenty of off street parking (we had 2 cars), and there was room for more. There is a large grocery store (Tesco) about 20-30 minutes away to stock up on food and beer. We all had tesco mobile phones, and reception was great from this location. All Pro's and no Con's. Thanks Connie for a wonderful stay!!

Wonderful, large house that exceeded our expectations. We rented the house for a winter writing "retreat". It is very well suited for that, with lots of space and many different rooms to sit in. It is situated in a beautiful, quiet area and has a wonderful view on the lake. The house, and especially the kitchen, is very well equipped. The owners, Connie and Mike took great care that we had everything we needed.

Everything was just right, there was plenty of room for all of us to have our own space. The views were lovely. The kitchen was well stocked for working. Just wanted to say a huge thank you for your kind hospitality and for looking after us during our stay. You couldn't have been more helpful.

"Tres jolie maison, idealement situee au-dessus du Lough Derg avec une vue somptuese. Amenagement et equiements plus que complets comprenant tout ce que l'on peut desirer (par example, il y a meme des jumelles pour apprecier la vue de la veranda, la WI-FI, un ordinateur, due linge de maison et des produits de toilette comme dans un grand hotel). Belles chambres, 3 salles de bain, veranda, salon et petit salon tres confortables. Charmante salle a manger jouxtant une grande cuisine parfaitement equipee. Une cheminee garnie pour les soirees fraiches et le chauffage est regle pour conserver une temperature agreeable. Grand jardin, pelouses vert Irlande, dependances, billard, etc, etc...Et l'accueil de Madame Down est trest chaleureux ce qui est infiniment appreciable apres un long voyage, avec meme un panier de douceurs contenant une bouteille de vin francais, excellent. Notre hotesse a ete a notre disposition pendant tout le sejour pour repondre a tout ce dont nous pouvions avour besoin, et nous indiquer les bons pubs et restaurants (Ah ! Les soirees dans les pubs de campagne avec leurs musiciens). Mille merci a elle. Nous ne l'oublierons pas."
